TYSONS, VIRGINIA, June 23, 2025 – SCG Development, in conjunction with co-developers Choice Housing Opportunities for Intergenerational and Community Endeavors, Inc (CHOICE) are pleased to announce the closing of Henry T. Wing Phase II, located in Sandwich, Massachusetts.
Henry T. Wing Phase II will develop 41 new apartment units consisting of 39 one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom apartment units for senior (62+) occupancy. Of those, thirty-five apartment units will be affordable for households earning between 30% and 60% of the area median income (AMI). The remaining six units will be market-rate. Additionally, eleven apartment units restricted to households earning no more than 30% of AMI will benefit from rental subsidy made available through a Housing Assistance Payment (“HAP”) Contract and Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program (“MRVP”) Contract.
Property residents will have access to a variety of community amenities, including on-site social services, on-site property management office, common kitchens, and ongoing coordinated activities programming designed for seniors. Henry T. Wing I and II will utilize substantially the same development team, including Icon Architecture, Dellbrook/JKS and HallKeen Management continuing in their roles as architect, general contractor and property manager, respectively.
The Property represents the second phase of a 31-acre campus redevelopment. The campus previously housed the Henry T. Wing School, a historically contributing resource to the Sandwich Old King’s Highway Regional Historic District. Henry T. Wing Phase I adaptively re-used a portion of the School that was originally constructed in 1927. The construction of Phase I is currently over 80% complete.
