Project Description

The redevelopment of One University Family (The Robinson) and One University Senior (The Belmont), located in charming Fairfax, VA across from George Mason University, will be comprised of 120 new construction multifamily units and 120 senior (62+) independent living units that will serve families and individuals earning up to 60% of the area median income (AMI). The development is situated on 10.8 acres and will consist of a mixed-use area to include 333 units of Student housing developed by our partners, RISE, a Fitness Center, Leasing Office, and a Community Room. Additional amenities will include a private courtyard that will have picnic and recreation areas with grills, a dog wash area, and approximately 45 bicycle parking spaces. This project also marks a historical milestone in becoming the first Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) converted property to obtain HUD approval for demolition and redevelopment. One University’s proximity to George Mason University will provide residents with convenient access to world-class academic opportunities, cultural events, healthcare, recreational opportunities, public transportation, as well as retail services and amenities important to families and seniors. This is a 9/4 twinned tax credit transaction and was completed in Spring of 2024
